Force gauges - PCE Instruments customers benefit from continuous technical improvements
08/03/2016 PCE Instruments UK Ltd
PCE Instruments offers mechanical as well as digital forge gauges which can be used for various purposes, most of which are manufactured under the label "PCE Instruments®".Some force gauges are from other high-quality manufacturers. For most force gauges which are available at PCE, optional accessories like sensors, calibration certificates and PC software can be puchased. PCE Instruments is always keen on innovating and improving existing products and adding new instruments to their range of products.
Recently, they improved the accuracy of the PCE-DFG series force gauges from ±0.2% to ±0.1%, which makes these digital force gauges highly competitive on the international market. They can measure tensile and compressive forces, with measurment ranges and resolutions of 0....5N/0.0005N (PCE-LFT 5), 0 ...10N/0.001N (PCE-LFG 10), 0...20N/0/005N (PCE-LFG 20) and 0...500N/0.05N (PCE-DFG 500). The device has a sampling rate of 2000 Hz and a storage rate of 1Hz, whereas the PC software has a storage rate of approximately 60 Hz. The forge gauges are equipped with an RS-232 and an MD8 multifunctional interface.
The PCE-DFG series has three modes of measurement: Peak, Auto Peak and Track. It also has a MIN and MAX function and a limit function. Different units of measurement can be selected and up to 1000 readings can be saved to the device, either automatically or manually. To save energy, the force gauges have an adjustable Automatic Power Off function which alerts the user when the battery should be replaced. The PCE-DFG force gauges can alternatively be powered by a mains adaptor, which is included in the standard delivery.
The 160 x 128 dot matrix LC display with LED backlight shows the measured data along with the current date and time. The results can be transferred to a computer by means of the USB data cable and evaluated by means of the PC software.
A PCE-DFG series force gauge comes with the following accessories: a chisel head adaptor, a flat head adaptor, a pointed head adaptor, a hook adaptor, a notched head adaptor, a 90 mm extension bar, PC software, a USB data cable, a mains adaptor, a carrying case and an instruction manual.
