GRANT FUNDING FOR UK SME'S TO EXHIBIT IN SINGAPORE

The Engineering Industries Association has announced that grant funding is available for UK SMEs who would like to exhibit at MTA Singapore, the precision engineering, machine tool and metalworking technology sector show.Singapore is a natural starting place and gateway to the ASEAN, as the most developed economy and regional hub. It accounts for half of UK exports to ASEAN, although much is re-exported elsewhere.
Top ten UK exports to Singapore include power generating machinery and equipment, road vehicles, industrial machinery and parts. Singapore opportunities include the MRT and RTS railway lines, a new terminal at Changi airport and the relocation of the port which will nearly double capacity by 2023.
The Engineering Industries Association (EIA) is pleased to advise that UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) have agreed to subsidise eligible UK SME companies choosing to exhibit at MTA Singapore 14 - 17 April 2015 at the Singapore Exhibition Centre.
A stand measuring 9 square metres, which would have cost £3,087 will now cost £587 after the UK grant. Companies will qualify if they are new to market, already trading in Singapore or have a distributor, agent or even an office in the region as long as the UK company has paid £2,500 towards the eligible costs for the show which would include space, construction, furniture, graphics, or even freight which would have to go out to the market at this time.
MTA Singapore is part of a regional series of events specialising in Machine Tools, Precision Engineering & Manufacturing Technology held in South East Asia, taking place in Vietnam, Indonesia, and Myanmar.
