igus introduces a compact 3D energy chain system for cranes and work platforms. The e-drum routes energy, data and media, such as air and liquids, safely to great heights.The closed design requires very little space and protects the cables. Inside is a triflex chain, which allows smooth travel of the cables and hoses in all directions.
The e-drum connects the reel with the shaft support, which serves as an interface to the installed cables and hoses. This avoids the costly conventional slip ring that is usually used for cable drums.
