Hylec-APL and Farnell element14 Form Exclusive K9 Arrangement

Hylec-APL, the specialist supplier of electronic and electromechanical components in the UK and Europe, has signed an agreement for Farnell element14 to have global online distributor exclusivity of their new K9 Clamp, for the initial three month launch period.The launch of the innovative K9 clamp, which is designed to cut electrical installation times by up to 80% and increase profits for installers, has received an enormous interest from contractors and is set to replace traditional methods of connection. The K9 clamp uses insulation displacement technology (IDT) to eliminate the need for stripping, twisting and physically connecting wires and is available in an 'I type' model for end to end connections, and 'T type' model for spurred connections.
IDT is used extensively in telecommunications and computing. However recent developments, enabling multiple stranded wire conductors to be used, have created time-saving opportunities for installers in the domestic/commercial, industrial, marine and automotive sectors as well as panel building and low voltage industrial applications.
