IMI appoints Tarak Chhaya as Sector President, Industrial Automation

IMI, a global leader in fluid and motion control, is pleased to announce the appointment of Tarak Chhaya as Sector President, Industrial Automation, effective immediately. The role was previously held by Jackie Hu, Group COO, in an interim capacity. Tarak has held leadership positions at IMI for nearly a decade and was previously Regional President, APAC & India, for Industrial Automation.
Tarak brings a compelling mix of proven ability to grow IMI’s business through market-led innovation and commercial excellence — both core to our One IMI operating model. Over nearly three decades, he has led and grown complex businesses across Asia, the Middle East and Africa. Since joining IMI in 2016, he has held increasingly senior roles, developed high performance teams and created positive impact across our organisation. Prior to this, he led several executive positions at GE Oil & Gas where he drove operational transformation, customer acquisition and P&L growth initiatives.
