IMI makes senior appointment to support customers across industrial automation

IMI’s Industrial Automation business has appointed Daniel Coetzee as Vice President of Growth.
With more than twenty-five years’ experience across several senior leadership roles with GE, Emerson and Luffy AI, Daniel joins to spearhead the company’s market expansion as industrial digital transformation increases.
Daniel has significant experience supporting customers in industries such as power, oil & gas, life sciences, green energy, mining & minerals, metals, marine, pulp & paper, automotive, food & beverage, packaging, discrete manufacturing and the water/wastewater sector.
During his time in industry, he has collaborated with customers to help solve and optimise their digital, process and automation challenges using Artificial Intelligence, Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Asset Performance Management (APM), Historian & SCADA software, digital twins, control systems, robotics, servo motion, Variable Frequency Drives (VFD), connectivity, cyber security and Industrial 4.0 technologies.
As VP of Growth IA, Daniel will be leading the M&A and commercial functions with a focus on customer coverage, market-led innovation, marketing and digital. Daniel will concentrate on creating a future focused ecosystem to best support IMI’s customers across the sector.
