Intel to Showcase Latest Solutions for Industrial Transformation at SPS IPC Drives 2019
27/09/2019 Intel Corporation (UK) Ltd
Intel will be exhibiting at SPS IPC Drives 2019 and will demonstrate its latest solutions for industry 4.0, highlighting Intel CPUs and FPGAs. Visitors to the stand (Hall 5, stand 260) will see how Intel enables hardware, software and IP solutions for smart factory, software-defined-automation and equipment like PLCs, drives, I/O modules, machine vision and robotics through scalable compute, reconfigurable hardware and by leveraging a robust eco-system of partners.FPGAs and SoC FPGAs play a pivotal role in providing flexible connectivity options, scalable compute power for analytics and high fabric performance for accelerating interoperability, manageability and security algorithms. They are able to do this at a power profile considerably less than conventional processors. Between the scalability of Intel processor product lines and the flexibility and performance of FPGAs, Intel's processor and FGPA offerings provide the best of both worlds for Industrial IoT.
Intel and its technology partners will demonstrate at the show how FPGA-based industrial ethernet and TSN solutions provide the connectivity for Industrial 4.0 factories to be smart, agile and heading towards fully autonomous. FPGA based designs allow industrial equipment manufacturers to quickly add new features, such as functional safety and deep learning
analytics, getting new products to market, which deliver best-in-class performance, seamless deterministic interoperability, and comply with safety and security requirements.
