ITT LAUNCHES NEW FLYGT TOP-ENTRY AGITATOR RANGE FOR WASTEWATER MIXING

ITT Water & Wastewater has launched the new Flygt Top-Entry Agitator range, specifically designed for demanding digester and other standard mixing applications.

The new Flygt Top-Entry Agitator was developed to extend the range of high quality reliable and efficient products on offer from market leading brand Flygt, and to complete the Flygt mixing solutions portfolio.

Flygt's Top-Entry Agitators are renowned for their hygienic handling, minimal environmental impact and low power consumption. Crucially, the new Flygt range benefits from being low maintenance and long life, due to all wetted parts being made of high quality materials. The agitators come in two blade styles, hydrofoil stainless steel and composite polyurethane for optimum performance in different fluids and/or tank types. The advanced blade design delivers the advantage that high density rag or fibrous material cannot attach due to it's heavily backswept nature.

The Flygt Top-Entry Agitator is available in three models; The 4850 serves many mixing applications and has an optional bottom support assembly to affix longer shafts to the basin floor; The 4860 and 4870 models are for digester mixing and include hydrofoil blades, a patented rotating stabiliser that secures the variable-length shaft to the digester bottom and a patented levelling flange with gas seal that makes it easy to adjust the shaft to true vertical by just one person.

Both Flygt 4860 and 4870 models also feature a wear-proof water lock to prevent leakage of harmful gases and agitator breakdown.
