Kenics mixers support young salmon

Kenics static mixers from NOV are playing a vital role in the welfare of young Atlantic salmon fry for a major fish farm operator in Norway.

Utilizing process-specific elements in a housing for continuous flow applications, Kenics static mixers ensure that the important parameters of salt water content and temperature combine to provide optimum environmental conditions for growth of salmon, who depend on fresh, oxygen-rich water.

As inlet sea water is mixed with fresh water, the elements of the Kenics static mixers harness the energy from the process stream to provide blending, dispersion, and heat transfer with minimal pressure (energy) loss.

Resistant to corrosion in the part salt water conditions, the minimal temperature variation also provides the best possible CoV (Coefficient of variation).
