KROHNE Online Academy: Commercial-free web-based training for the process industry

KROHNE, Inc. announces the availability of the KROHNE Academy, featuring web-based training on measurement technologies and other topics of interest to process measurement personnel. KROHNE Academy online consists of interactive electronic learning content that features full audio, published on the robust and engaging ILIAS eLearning platform. Free and uncommercial, with unlimited use, courses are available in four languages: German, English, French and Chinese - Spanish and Russian are now being developed. Registration is completely free and on the spot at academy-online.krohne.com.The Krohne Academy online is ideal for staff in who come into contact with a wide variety of measuring principles daily, students with an interest in the subject, and others wanting to ensure they are up to date with measuring processes and applications in technical facilities. Participants can choose from seven courses, including technology for suspended materials, vortex frequencies, and ultrasound and mass flow. Also available are courses on basic principles in the area of gas measurement or leak detection in pipelines. More courses are being added frequently.
Courses on the online academy are industry comprehensive, describing and explaining measuring technology objectively and not related to specific manufacturers. The learning content starts with the measuring principles and moves on to interpretations, advantages and limitations, then applications and industries where the measuring principle is applied - each course covers all the relevant areas. The web based training does not require any previous knowledge or experience, but a certain amount of technical understanding is helpful. The courses do not advertise any KROHNE measuring device and neutrality is strictly observed, although examples may include illustrations of KROHNE products.
