Making it to the range of data acquisition products available from Adept Scientific (Letchworth, Herts) are Measurement Computing's (Norton, MA), a leading manufacturer of low-cost data acquisition hardware and software, ready-made thermocouples and RTDs.The ready-made thermocouples are available in 1- and 2m lengths, complete with measuring junction at one end, and are available in J, K, T and E-types.
Sealed in an Alumina tube with three Teflon-coated leads, the ready-made RTDs can measure up to 400oF (204oC). Resistant to abrasion and moisture, each RTD is sold individually and is also available in 1- and 2m lengths with a 3 wire, 100 Ohm.
Both these products can be trimmed should a shorter length be required.
