Managing Director of Northern Industrial Retires - John Lenehan steps down after starting the company in 1978

Northern Industrial, one of the UK's leading suppliers of industrial automation spares and repairs, have announced a new management team following the retirement of founder and Managing Director John Lenehan.Stuart Park and David Lenehan, John's son, will become joint Managing Director of the company and are hoping to continue the trend of year-on-year growth with a 34% increase in turnover just last year.
Northern Industrial was started by John in 1978 after he left his position as a Maintenance Engineer at Thwaites Brewery. For many years Northern Industrial provided support to local manufacturers and textile companies with repair services. Today they ship new and reconditioned automation parts and provide repairs for customers all over the world and have shipped to over 126 countries in total. It is thanks to John's values and customer-focused approach that have enabled Northern Industrial to become one of the UK's leading automation solutions suppliers.
Commenting on the new management team, John Lenehan said "Stuart and David work extremely well together and have worked for the company for a number of years. They were instrumental in helping the company achieve a 34% turnover increase last year and I am very confident that they will bring more success to Northern Industrial."
David Lenehan is moving from his role as Marketing Director and Stuart Park is moving from his nine year role as Operations Director.
David Lenehan, Managing Director of Northern Industrial, said "I am very proud of my father's legacy and both Stuart and I are very excited at the prospect of leading Northern Industrial as it continues to grow. My father has been there since the start of automation and it is unusual to find anyone in the North West who hasn't dealt with him at some point over the last 40 years. As we move forward we will be looking to build on the firm foundation that my Dad established and keep his customer focused values at the core of our business."
Over the next year Stuart and David will be looking to continue the recent impressive growth by focusing on customer satisfaction and strengthening the current team with more employees including additional electronic engineers.
