MATTEI SET TO MAKE AN IMPACT AT AIR-TECH 2012

Rotary vane compressor manufacturer Mattei will be highlighting its range of quality compressor products and services on stand number A304 at this year's Air-Tech.Visitors to the show will be able to see the company's range of industrial air compressors, including the Maxima, which the company describes as being highly efficient and offering unrivalled performance for the user, alongside the Optima variable speed compressor.
Andy Jones, general manager for Mattei, said: "We're looking forward to welcoming existing and new customers to our stand, particularly as our key focus at this year's Air-Tech is on the reliable and energy efficient production of high quality compressed air. We believe our compressor products offer the lowest total cost of ownership on the market today, due to the lower ongoing maintenance costs and efficiency of compression."
The Mattei team will be on hand to meet customers and discuss all compressor and control products as well as other services, including leakage detection and repair and how to improve energy efficiency, while keeping carbon emissions to a minimum.
In addition, manufacturing customers will be able discuss equipment for the integration of compressed air supply into a wide range of packaged solutions. These include vehicle on-board compressed air systems, driven by a power take off (PTO) or with electric and hydraulic motors, mass transit applications such as trains and trams and even snow making machines and mobile breathing air sets.
To fully demonstrate OEM applications first hand, Mattei's on stand display will feature Winton Engineering's on board PTO driven compressed air and electrical system which specialises in harnessing engine power to drive auxiliary equipment, delivering compressed air up to 160cfm and electrical power up to 10kVA at 110/240 volts. Winton's drive line power take off (DLPTO) systems provide compressed air and/or electrical power at any location where a vehicle can gain access, using pneumatic, hydraulic or electrical power to operate road drills, breakers, hand tools, site lighting and electro fusion equipment. The overall result is an energy and fuel-efficient system for the user.
Also on show will be Transit Power Systems (TPS) new 'airpod' which utilises Mattei's rotary vane compressor air end powered by a battery. The advantages of this system are it only uses battery power when there is a demand for air and is controlled and monitored by pressure transducers built into the electronic circuit. It offers quiet operation, produces no harmful fumes and does not need a separate fuel supply. Any usage of the battery power for the compressed air module is replaced as the vehicle is driven from job to job via the vehicle's own alternator.
Mattei has recently announced it is working in conjunction with Coelmo of Italy to promote its range of generators to the UK market and visitors to the show will also be able to view selected products on the stand.
