Mitsubishi Electric and Schaeffler increase cooperation

Preview of common solution for web-based predictive maintenance

The strengthening cooperation between Mitsubishi Electric Europe and Schaeffler is highlighted by the development of a new web-based condition monitoring solution. Customers will require no new IT equipment as the software application runs within a web browser on existing PC hardware, tablets and smartphones.

Set for launch in 2020, the web-based predictive maintenance solution will be delivered as a 'software as a service' (SaaS) product, offered as an extension to the established Smart Condition Monitoring (SCM) portfolio. The companies anticipate that the new service will be of interest for large utility sites such as water and wastewater treatment, as well as continuous process applications in the food and beverage industry.
