Molex highlights the benefits of CC-Link Partner Association (CLPA) board membership

Interconnectivity and automation specialist Molex sees active engagement with networking associations as a key strategy for growing its business. Not only does the company develop compliant products for protocols such as CC-Link IE and PROFINET, but it is a board member of the CC-Link Partner Association (CLPA) and is active with CC-Link working groups.

As one of the world's largest interconnect companies, Molex provides electronic solutions in a wide range of industries, including data communications, consumer electronics, industrial, automotive, commercial vehicles and medical. Adept at solving complex customer challenges, the company attributes much of its success to working with associations such as the CLPA.

"As a CLPA board member, we are involved at a high level, with management and marketing, as well as with the working groups," says Martial Maneché, Head of Competence Center at Molex. "This benefits us in the design of our products, as we have full knowledge of what's going into our products and giving us full independence in their design. It means we are offering our customers the highest level of expertise on CC-Link IE and CC-Link technologies."

Headquartered in North America, Molex is a globally recognised provider of interconnect solutions, with key markets across Europe and Asia, along with North America. It is active in a number of key sectors including factory automation, transportation and material handling. "We are pushing hard in Asia at the moment to penetrate that market, so having the CLPA behind us and integrating CC-Link IE and CC-Link technologies is a great help to us," comments Maneché.

He also enthuses about the cooperation between the CLPA and PROFIBUS & PROFINET International (PI), which will enable network technologies for either to be mixed in a single system. "Of course we promote our expertise with both of the technologies, but the cooperation between them will enable us to bring our customers even higher value," Maneché concludes.
