04/01/2016 Morgan Tucker Ltd
LEADING independent engineering consultancy Morgan Tucker has made a significant move towards its ambitious growth plans, with the appointment of 14 new starters.Filling a combination of senior and trainee roles, the appointments are a result of a successful year for Morgan Tucker that has seen it remain on target to hit an eight million pound turnover and a new, highly experienced senior executive team put in place.
The 14 new starters will now contribute towards Morgan Tucker's strategic expansion plans, which will see further growth across their seven UK offices over the next year. The firm, which is this year celebrating its tenth anniversary, prides itself on its client-focused service and how it continues to recruit the best professionals and consultants in the industry.
Managing director at Morgan Tucker, Matthew Tucker (pictured), said: "We are delighted to welcome 14 new starters to our team, at a time of significant growth for the firm. Our ethos is all about being agile and able to adapt to our clients' needs - which is why we continue to expand by taking on new people who are focused on delivering the best possible service on each and every project.
"We have had a fantastic year at Morgan Tucker, celebrating our tenth year in business in September and seeing notable growth across the board with a number of significant and large project and framework wins."
Morgan Tucker also benefitted from a £1m investment from Foresight Nottingham Fund this year - a £40m regional fund for growing businesses - after it was deemed a business with exceptional potential for expansion.
Matthew added: "The new hires will bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to the team, with some senior appointments who have more than 30 years' experience under their belts, ensuring the best service for our clients.
"We have also taken on a number of trainees and graduates who are keen to develop their career with Morgan Tucker. I look forward to seeing what they bring to the team as they move further up the career ladder."
Recent Nottingham Trent University graduate, William Livermore, began working at Morgan Tucker earlier this month. He is excited to get stuck into his new role as a graduate engineer.
He said: "My role as a graduate engineer will include working across the civil and construction engineer fields with an emphasis on the commercial sector.
"This is going to be a great challenge for me as I will have the opportunity to work on some large projects from the very start to their completion as well as gaining the experience to manage my time by meeting targets and client expectations."
22-year-old William also gained recent experience at civil engineering firm, Jacksons Civils, during a sandwich year at university, before graduating earlier this year.
He added: "I'm pleased that I have already been given responsibility on projects and the opportunity to look after clients. My colleagues inspire me to put the client first at all times, to be the best that we can be and to think outside the box in order to achieve the best results for each individual client.
"I can't wait to get fully stuck into the role and have the chance to specialise my expertise into one area of engineering in order to develop my career at Morgan Tucker."
