National Occupational Standards (NOS) for Industrial Design formally approved

The hard work BIDA Directors and volunteers Gus Desbarats and Les Stokes have invested in developing NOS for Industrial Design has been rewarded with the announcement that the proposals have now been approved nationally. Les Stokes commented on the news, saying 'BIDA is delighted to announce that our work with Cultural and Creative skills has resulted in a new set of approved National Occupational Standards for Industrial design. This is of critical importance for our industry and creates a platform for meaningful education, professional development and accreditation based on best current practice'. Gus added 'The new NOS is an incredibly important development at a key time for our industry. It creates an essential platform for clearer recognition and a better fit between modern jobs and education'.
