National Women in Engineering Day - what will you be doing?

23 June 2014 is National Women in Engineering Day, and the Women's Engineering Society (WES) needs your help to raise the profile of engineering to young girls, and to celebrate the achievements of women in engineering.On this day - the first of its kind in the UK - they are calling on YOU to do something positive to support diversity in engineering and allied careers, and they are asking you to find a way to celebrate this day. Ideas range from organising an event, a visit, issuing a press release, launching a competition, writing a blog, speaking to a group of students, or just tweeting your support-€¦..so once you have decided what you are going to do, it's time to start planning.
Resources are available to help you with your event at www.wes.org.uk/nwed, or they will be able to send you a resource pack in the post soon if you would like one (request one at info@wes.org.uk). Once you have decided what you are able to do, then they would love to hear about it, and they will endeavour to list all events on a dedicated website which they are hoping will be available shortly (subject to finding a willing volunteer).
