New Appointment is a SMART Move for Industrial IT Company

Industrial IT solutions provider, SolutionsPT, has appointed a new Business Development Manager to concentrate on the burgeoning SMART industries sector.Martin Roberts has been appointed to the role of Business Development Manager for SMART Markets, to focus on developing SolutionsPT's presence in SMART cities, airports, buildings and infrastructure projects. He will also be developing its Machine-to-Machine (M2M) SMART services.
Martin has previously held director-level positions with companies including EA Technology, Invensys Operations Management and DeepStream Technologies. Over the last 20 years, he has introduced innovative technologies and solutions to new and emerging industrial, commercial, marine, and utility markets in Europe, North America and Asia.
Martin comments, "There are a number of challenges facing SMART cities at the moment. The biggest challenge being that the return on investment is not always obvious or immediate. We need leaders who have the long-term vision to invest in unlocking the existing data so that the industry can grow and flourish.
"I plan to develop SolutionsPT as a 'thought leader' in this industry and encourage our clients to have confidence in the SMART markets".
