Victaulic, world leader in mechanical pipe-joining systems, has taken on an additional engineer to strengthen its UK team. Tony Cater joins the company as Territory Manager East and West Midlands, bringing with him 12 years' experience in the supply and use of HVAC products. His role is to promote the Victaulic range of products to the HVAC market across the Midlands, enabling consulting engineers and contractors to benefit from the total pipework solutions the company offers.Carter started out as a storeman for a supplier of pipe fittings, pipe couplings, valves and flanges for use in HVAC, plumbing and heating applications, before moving to a technical sales role. He then joined a specialist valve manufacturer as a project engineer. In this role he developed his knowledge and understanding of large-diameter pipework through managing major projects for supply into the naval marine market. For the past five years Carter has worked as a technical sales engineer, selling a range of heating and cooling products into markets which include HVAC, process heating and cooling, food and beverage, medical, automotive and aerospace.
Victaulic Regional Manager, Alex Dick, said: "Tony will be a real asset to Victaulic as we expand our business in the UK as part of a global organisation. His technical sales background, together with his experience of the HVAC market, make Tony ideally suited to his new role within the Victaulic team."
In his spare time Carter plays lead guitar with a local band and performs regularly at music venues. He is looking forward to getting married in June and settling into a new home with his future wife.
