New contracts manager for steel fabrications experts

ECS Engineering Services has appointed Kev Thompson as Fabrication Contracts Manager of its steel fabrications operations. Based in Sutton-in-Ashfield, Notts, ECS is a leader in the supply of engineering solutions to water, energy and environmental processing and management projects.Mr. Thompson has 20 years' experience in contracts and project management in the steel fabrications industry and says ECS has exciting plans for the Fabrications Division. "Our knowledge and specialist skills are well established and respected across the whole industry. We will be building on this firm foundation and plan to increase the scale of our operation over the coming years."
In his new role Mr. Thompson will join an expanding team that is responsible for all aspects of steel fabrication projects. From initial meetings with clients and concept solutions, through tenders, detailed design and construction to secondary metalwork and completion, the fabrication team is responsible for the complete project. "ECS can offer a complete turnkey package, from initial concept designs to installation and follow up services" he says. "We cover a wide range of industries and markets already but we will be broadening this base even further."
