Nick McLaren strengthens Yamato sales team

Yamato Scale Dataweigh UK (www.yamatoscale.co.uk) has appointed Nick McLaren to regional sales.With qualifications in electrical and electronic engineering, Nick joined Yamato as a service engineer from Novartis Pharmaceuticals in 2013, having previously completed his apprenticeship with Toyota, where he worked for seven years as an engineering technician.
Nick is now responsible for sales and customer accounts across the south of England from Cornwall and Devon across to Kent and up to Buckinghamshire. His expertise covers the full range of Yamato machinery including multihead weighers, checkweighers and semi-automatic weighing machines.
Commenting on Nick McLaren's appointment, Yamato operations manager Andrea Spencer said: "We are delighted that Nick has taken on the role of regional sales. He has been part of part of the Yamato team for a while now and taking on this role is the natural next step.
"Working as a service engineer for many years Nick has gained a lot of knowledge across a wide range of industries. Combined with his experience of Yamato products means that Nick can offer detailed help and advice to his customers, guiding them towards the best solutions for their businesses."
Nick added: "I have worked as a service engineer with Yamato's mulithead weighers and checkweighers for some time now. I have gained a practical knowledge of the industry which means I have developed an appreciation of what problems customers face and how to develop long-lasting solutions to them."
When he is not working Nick enjoys mountain biking, walking the dogs, classic cars, (especially air-cooled VW's - particularly the Karmann Ghia) good music and camping.
