Leading assessment, verification and certification body, NQA and the household name in energy, British Gas Business, have been announced as the sponsors of the Energy Information Theatre, which takes place on both days of The Energy Event, being held on the 13-14th September 2011 at the Birmingham N.E.C.NQA works in partnership with a wide range of businesses, government departments and charitable organisations to help improve performance in quality, environment and health and safety management. In addition to sponsoring the Information Theatre, on day one, Energy and Environmental Sector Manager for NQA, Max Linnemann will chair a discussion on, 'Which strategies & innovations will be most effective as part of an energy management strategy?'
Following this, Head of Corporate Markets for British Gas Business, Nicholas Grant will also present a seminar entitled: 'Changing energy procurement strategies - understanding the implications for large energy users'. Nicolas was appointed director of portfolio management and strategy for British Gas Business in June 2008. Prior to joining Centrica, he was a principal at the London office of Marakon Associates, advising senior management on strategic and organisational issues in the food & beverage, financial services and mining industries.
