OMS appoints Peter Day as Chief Technology Officer

Pipe measurement specialist Optical Metrology Services (OMS) is pleased to announce the appointment of Peter Day as the company's Chief Technology Officer (CTO).Based at OMS' UK office in Bishop's Stortford, Peter will head up the Tools division and will sit on the OMS Services Board of Directors. Peter's responsibilities include all technical aspects of OMS tools, including managing the delivery of measurement and inspection tools used by OMS operators. Peter will also manage the team responsible for delivering analysis and statistical reports to customers and for evaluating existing and new technologies.
Peter brings a wealth of experience in technical and business management, including a successful track record in business re-engineering and continuous improvement at several blue chip companies. Peter also has a strong technical background, with previous roles as a design engineer, draughtsman, mechanical engineer and materials/manufacturing engineer.

OMS is a specialist measurement technology company that provides measurement services and precision measurement systems to the oil and gas industry. A key focus for the company is in the dimensional measurement of oil and gas pipes or other similar structures such as aero engines, process industry tubes or manufactured cylindrical objects, where dimensions are critical.
