OMS to exhibit at Deep Offshore Technology International 2015

Specialist technology company, OMS, is set to showcase its comprehensive portfolio of pipeline inspection and measurement capabilities at this year's Deep Offshore Technology International exhibition (13-15 October).

Taking place at the Woodlands Waterway Convention Centre in Houston, USA, the leading deepwater procurement show will see thousands of engineering professionals from around the world meet together to explore the latest innovations in subsea technology.

Representatives from the OMS team will be at booth 806, showcasing its latest range of pipe fit-up and inspection tools, as well as talking to delegates about how implementing effective pipeline analysis strategies can help to significantly increase project efficiency.

Paul Eagle, Head of Client Solutions at OMS, comments: "As one of the most respected global exhibitions for the subsea oil and gas industry, attending Deep Offshore Technology International provides us with an excellent opportunity to discuss specific pipeline challenges with attendees, alongside explaining how tightening project processes can increase overall efficiencies.

"Alongside showcasing our measurement and inspection capabilities, we'll also be showcasing our brand new pipeline inspection service - Auga™. Specifically designed to blend seamlessly with the pipe weld processes, this revolutionary technology combines high-resolution video camera technologies with laser scanning capabilities to gather detailed 360° pipe geometry data from within the entire girth weld.

"Auga™ collects pipe geometry and visual data in less than twenty seconds and produces a detailed report in under 10 minutes, saving valuable time and allowing weld defects to be rapidly qualified."

Auga™, which was launched at OMS' customer roadshow earlier this year, comes as part of a long-term technology innovation programme. Alongside the existing range of quality assurance hand tools, OMS has recently introduced WeldAnalysis - a huge step forward in inspection software - allowing weld engineers to sentence welds in the firing line.

With more than 1,300 attendees from 33 countries worldwide, Deep Offshore Technology International (www.deepoffshoretechnology.com) is the world's leading subsea exhibition. Showcasing pioneering technologies used in the deep-water oil and gas industry across the world, the event provides a forum for exhibitors and delegates to discuss the specific challenges associated with hostile and ultra-deep-water environments.
