Optris Introduces Optris Connect A new Generation of Infrared Imaging Software

Optris is proud to announce the launch of Optris Connect, a new software platform for PI and Xi thermal cameras. This new Software combines an

intuitive user experience with powerful monitoring and configuration capabilities.

Designed as the ideal starting point for new users, Optris Connect makes thermal imaging easier than ever. A modern interface, inspired by today's software standards, allows users to visualize thermal images, temperature trends, alarms, and camera data within a single, unified workspace. The software is designed to be fully operational within seconds.

“Optris Connect represents the next step in our software evolution,” says Sascha Kienitz, CEO at Optris. “We wanted to create a platform that is easy for beginners, powerful for experienced users, and flexible enough to grow with future technologies.”

One Software, Multiple Cameras

Optris Connect automatically detects all compatible cameras within the network and allows users to connect multiple USB and Ethernet cameras simultaneously in one infinite window environment. Thermal images from different cameras can be displayed side-by-side, while temperature data from multiple devices can be combined into a single trend graph or viewed separately.

Guided network configuration helps users quickly establish communication with connected cameras and resolve common connection issues.

Measurement fields can be configured with just a few clicks, including individual emissivity settings for each measurement area. Users can also configure alarms and Process Interface modules directly within the software.

Continuous Improvement Through Community Feedback

Optris Connect includes an integrated error reporting system. Users can optionally submit log files together with their email address, enabling developers to analyze unexpected software issues quickly and provide bug fixes in future releases.

Software updates can be installed directly within the application without requiring a complete uninstall and reinstallation process.

Current Scope and Future Enhancements

While Optris Connect introduces a completely new software experience, some advanced functions currently remain available exclusively in Optris Software

PIX Connect 3. Users requiring these advanced analysis functions should continue working with PIX Connect 3 while benefiting from the modern and fast workflow and connectivity features of Optris Connect.

With Optris Connect, Optris delivers a future-ready software platform that simplifies infrared thermography, improves usability, and creates a scalable foundation for the next generation of thermal imaging applications. As usual, Optris is offering the new software free of charge and without requiring a license or subscription.
