Outdoor housings for space-critical applications

New outdoor housings with an installation depth of 80 mm extend the portfolio of the ECS series range of outdoor housings from Phoenix Contact. The smaller design allows device dimensions that are 75% more compact. It is therefore especially suitable for space-critical applications such as sensor technology applications for special vehicles. With the proven device connection technology, tailored interfaces for signals, data, and power can be realised.

The housings made of UV-stabilised polycarbonate plastic (UL 94-V0) are designed with an IP69 degree of protection and are suitable for a wide temperature range of -40°C to +100°C. Along with the new version, housings are also available with installation depths of 109 mm and 169 mm. A pressure-equalisation membrane available as an option ensures a greater level of air exchange, increasing the service life of the housing-internal electronics. The housing parts can be sealed securely to protect the electronics against unauthorised access.
