The Environmental Protection Office in Baden-Württemberg, Germany asserts that more than 50% of all lubricants leak into the environment. According to figures published by RWTH Aachen University, the annual usage of lubricants is 37.3 Million tons worldwide, which amounts to more than 18 Million tons leaked into the environment every year.
