Precision Acoustics' New Factory Opening Signals Huge Growth for the Technology Company.

Precision Acoustics Limited is an innovative and high-quality manufacturer of ultrasound measurement products for the medical and non-destructive testing (NDT) industries and a well-renowned and major supplier of MHz ultrasound equipment.The company was founded in Dorchester in 1994. The last 5 years have seen enormous growth and development of the business and, in November 2019, Precision Acoustics proudly opened its new purpose-built facility on the company's existing site.
The new facility has doubled the physical size of Precision Acoustics' factory. Crucially, it has also enabled a massive increase in its production capability as well as further growth in research and development activities. Staffing numbers now stand at 25, an increase of 13 in just 4 years, and now include more PhD-level research scientists, a greater number of apprentices and a comprehensive back-office system and infrastructure, as well as the potential to keep growing.
Precision Acoustics' growth is testament to the burgeoning technology and manufacturing sector in the South West of England. They have chosen to utilise local talent, invest in people as well as product, and position themselves further as a major player in the global industry.
The new factory was officially opened by one of the company's founder, Terri Gill: 'It is great to see the company flourishing, which is due to all the outstanding staff, some of whom have worked for Precision Acoustics for many years. This building is a serious investment for the future, and I am honoured to declare it open.'
