PRECISION FERTILISER PROJECT UNDERWAY

Always a good source of farming related news and information, The Western Morning News reveals how a consortium of British businesses led by GrowHow UK has won funding to support the development of an automated system for the precision application of nitrogen fertiliser and plant growth regulators. The £1 million kitty required to develop the precision technology is funded through InnovateUK, the new name for the Technology Strategy Board.A proportion of the research will help to further develop the existing ISRIA precision input system developed by German company, Fritzmeier Umwelttechnik; an intelligent tractor-mounted crop sensor for the variable application of nitrogen fertilizer. The project will span some three years and will develop automated systems to measure fertiliser requirements for cereals and OSR and the PGR requirements in OSR.
As we've mentioned twice already, late last year police issued warnings to farmers across the UK to store their fertiliser safely and securely, with nitrogen forming a core ingredient in many home made explosives. Enduramaxx liquid fertiliser tanks are rugged single piece uv-stabilised polyethylene tanks, preventing spills and leaks and keeping fertiliser protected against the elements.
As well as liquid fertiliser tanks, we also produce chemical storage tanks, rainwater harvesting tanks, molasses tanks and even WRAS approved potable water tanks. In fact, Enduramaxx provides a horizontal or vertical storage tank for the correct storage of all agricultural liquids and chemicals.
