Proskills UK Academy joins British Council Skills Advisory Forum

As part of an experienced British Council International Skills Partnership, Proskills UK is delighted that its Managing Director, Jonathan Ledger is a member of British Council's International Skills Partnership's Advisory Forum.

This expert Forum, made up of representatives from high achieving British Council International Skills Partnerships, provides guidance on all aspects pertaining to the strategic development of British Council's international skills partnership work and the facilitation of more impactful, sustainable and successful international skills partnerships globally.

"We are very pleased to be able to support and advise the British Council through its International Skills Partnership's Advisor Forum. It demonstrates that Proskills UK are delivering skills impact across the globe and allows us to share best practise.

Over the past two years, Proskills UK, in partnership with overseas skills organisations and British Council, has helped develop national skills strategies and occupational standards which are now delivering practical industry-based skills and continuous professional development to over 20,000 employees from 600 companies. We have learned to harness the power of collaboration and channel this into positive outcomes for countries, industries, employers and most importantly, employees. Giving individuals the skills they need to get a job or contribute economically allows them to take bold strides in the world, make a decent living for themselves and enable them to build a better future" said Jonathan Ledger, Managing Director, Proskills UK

Every country operates in a dynamic global economy. For countries to compete successfully, their workforce must have the right skills for the jobs they are doing, and these skills must be continually updated to attract inward investment, and support indigenous businesses. The National Skills Academy for Materials, Production and Supply (NSA MPS) including Proskills Sector Skills Organisation supports governments, employers, trade and industry bodies, and training organisations research, plan and implement the right training solutions to drive up business performance at strategic and operational levels.

Proskills UK continues to participate in collaborative skills projects across the globe including Egypt, India, Kazakhstan, Libya, Pakistan, UAE, Ukraine and Vietnam and has a wealth of experience to support industries and nations develop their people.
