Radiation-resistant Accelerometers

Monitran's MTN/1100-R accelerometers are ideal for long-term vibration monitoring in harsh radiation environments.

High Wycombe, United Kingdom - Monitran, a leader in the development and manufacture of transducers for the measurement of vibration, proximity and displacement, has launched the MTN/1100-R series of radiation-resistant constant current accelerometers.

Developed for use in nuclear power stations, the sensors, which are top-entry and sealed to IP67, have a radiation resistance of 10Mrads and are well-suited for long-term vibration monitoring in a variety of harsh radiation environments.

Andy Anthony, Managing Director of Monitran, comments: "As a manufacturer of sensors, and with our talented engineering department, we pride ourselves on being able to develop and make fit-for-purpose sensors, whatever the requirements."

Monitran's MTN/1100-R series accelerometers have a frequency response of 2Hz to 10kHz ±5%, a dynamic range of ±80g and a standard sensitivity of 100mV/g; with other sensitivities available upon request.

Mounting options include ¼"-28UNF, for the MTN/1100-R, and Monitran's own Quick Fit mount, for the MTN/1100Q-R.

The MTN/1100-R and MTN/1100Q-R radiation-resistant accelerometers are available immediately, and the MTN/1100-R series datasheet can be downloaded from www.monitran.com/products/mtn1100-r/
