RFID systems from ifm electronic

Even wider selection of RFID with the latest releases from ifm electronicThe latest DTE102 Ethernet RFID controller from ifm electronic and the associated antennae complement a long list of radio-frequency identification devices from this leading automation equipment manufacturer.
ifm electronic now supplies RFID in a variety of guises for different installations and purposes. If a simple work piece carrier is needed, there is nothing easier to use than the AS-interface-based DTA system. This consists of nothing more than read or read/write heads with a built-in AS-i chip, so they can easily be added to an existing AS-interface, or an RFID set-up can be created using the simple AS-interface two-core cable and master / gateway, which itself is stand-alone or links seamlessly into a higher level bus. For more complex systems handling greater amounts of data over longer distances and with the ability to read multiple tags, ifm electronic offers the DTE800/900 system. This UHF system is offered in two variants to comply with frequency allocations in the European and North American markets.
Now the latest RFID product from ifm, the DTE102, can accept antennae working in the 125 kHz or 13.56 MHz ranges. These antennae, such as the ANT410, or ANT512 are designed in the same package as ifm's renowned inductive sensors, so are ideally suited to harsh industrial usage.
One major highlight of the DTE102, (following the DTE100 with Profibus) is the built-in Ethernet/IP for connection to several common PLC systems. Additionally, the DTE102 has its own web server on board, allowing the user to remotely access the device via an http address.
The four sockets on the DTE102 are designed for the connection of antennae, but can alternatively be used for digital inputs or outputs. An unused antenna connection can accept two digital inputs, or switch one actuator, allowing simultaneous "mixed operation" of antennas, digital sensors and actuators. Even power up to 1A is supplied via the DTE102, keeping the wiring to a minimum.
ifm is committed to working closely with its customers to develop products which precisely match their needs, and the company provides expert, readily accessible technical support to help users maximise the benefits they gain from ifm products.
