Rittal introduce new versatile rack for network and server technology

IT infrastructure system supplier Rittal sets new standards in functionality and efficiency with the new IT rack TS IT.

A wide range of properties makes the TS IT rack easy to order, provides a safe environment for servers and other equipment, can be modified without major outlay and offers an optimum price/performance ratio. Even in its' standard version, the rack fulfils virtually all the require-ments placed on network and server enclosures. Rittal's TS IT also offers additional customer benefits due to its' largely tool-less assembly, saving both time and money.

The standard version includes two flexible 19" mounting levels, a multi-piece roof plate with optimised side cable entry via brush strips in the roof and is already prepared for fan integration. Accessories can be added or modified without any need for tools. Rittal has applied this approach to all the relevant components, ensuring that intelligent, versatile expansion options provide the flexibility needed for customer-specific configurations.

Optimum access
To satisfy individual requirements Rittal's new TS IT rack allows exceptionally straightforward, tool-less adjustment of the 19" mounting levels and space-saving integration of the relevant accessories. Further benefits include the divided rear door fitted as standard and the practical 180° hinges on the front and rear doors. This allows the administrator to access all the equipment directly. These features combine to make optimum use of the space available ensuring that escape routes are narrow, but still meet the required widths in the event of an emergency.

Addition of sensor bars
Rittal's TS IT rack also adapts perfectly to the latest data centre trends, including automatic inventory systems and systems for recording the technical features of all components. This means that, as an additional feature, the rack supports direct integration of specific RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) sensor bars. Furthermo-re, customers can themselves add one of these bars at any time while the rack is in operation.

Flexible basis

The IT rack also comes with the option of a Flex Block base, which can be fitted without tools and is distinguis-hed by its quick assembly technologies.

All of these properties make the new TS IT rack a flexible solution for the future and a cost-effective way to respond to the changing requirements of the IT environ-ment.
