RMI Pressure Systems, a global leader in the supply of high-pressure and high-volume fluid pumping stations, has appointed Cheri Tian as the new Industrial Sales Manager for China. Cheri will be responsible for business development across all industrial markets in China, though she will have a strong focus on the Power Generation and Metals production industries where RMI's reliable pumping systems are proven to improve productivity.Cheri Tian, who has a bachelor's degree in Macro Molecular Engineering, is experienced in sales management within the industrial markets having spent nine years working in the manufacturing industry and a further nine years in petrochemicals. She has enjoyed many successes throughout her career, most recently in 2009 when she led a global team to win the highest awards of ITT HQ (Harold S. Geneen Awards).
Cheri joins the company as part of its international business development programme which is focussing on the emerging BRIC economies. She will work as part of the international sales team to reach the Chinese market and offer support during the specification stage through to installation and after sales support. She will be located in Shanghai, China, though much of her work will be field based.
Cheri Tian comments: "I'm joining RMI at an extremely exciting time for the company as it continues to expand in the emerging markets and maintains its focus on R&D and delivering maximum reliability. In the industries where we focus, such as mining and metal production, reliability is important not just in terms of productivity but also in terms of safety. I'm looking forward to developing long term relationships with my customers that will continue long past installation to ensure that our pumps offer every customer years of hassle free operation."
Neil English, Sales and Marketing Director for RMI, adds: "We are very happy to welcome Cheri on board. Her qualifications and past experience speak for themselves and I am sure that she will integrate into the team seamlessly. As the heavy industries continue to grow in China we are keen to expand within the regions and Cheri is the perfect candidate to make this happen."
