Rockwell Automation Collaborates with Beypiliç in Türkiye to Help Enhance Safety in New Poultry Processing Facility

Project leverages AB Market’s local execution and coordination to deliver standardized safety solution at scale

Rockwell Automation, the world’s largest company dedicated to industrial automation and digital transformation, has announced a new collaboration with Beypiliç, one of Türkiye’s largest poultry processing companies, to strengthen personnel safety and machine protection at a newly constructed meat processing facility.

As part of the project, Beypiliç is implementing a facility-wide safety solution designed to prevent unauthorized access to electrical control panels, support safer maintenance conditions and help ensure compliance with evolving regulatory requirements for poultry processing facilities in Türkiye. The solution was integrated from the early design phase of the project to enable a consistent and standardized approach to safety across the site.

“From the beginning, Beypiliç was focused on building safety into the foundation of this new facility,” said Fatih Uzumcu, country director, Türkiye, Rockwell Automation. “By taking a standardized, solution-led approach, they were able to address regulatory requirements while also supporting safer day-to-day operations and maintenance. This project reflects how safety can be designed in not added on when end users, partners and technology providers collaborate closely.”

The collaboration brings together Rockwell Automation’s safety expertise with local implementation support from AB Market Elektrik Otomasyon, a value-added distributor and authorized member of the Rockwell Automation PartnerNetwork™ ecosystem in Türkiye. AB Market supported system design, local execution and coordination across the project from Rockwell Automation to the end user.

“Projects of this scale require close coordination from the earliest planning stages,” said Co?an Kuzu, regional sales manager, AB Market. “By working closely with both Rockwell Automation and Beypiliç, we were able to help implement a consistent safety approach across the facility while supporting local execution, regulatory alignment and long-term operational requirements.”

Beypiliç’s new meat processing investment required securing all electrical panel doors across the facility to reduce risk during operation and maintenance activities. The implemented safety technology provides non-contact monitoring of access points, helping to limit exposure to moving or energized equipment and supporting safer working conditions for plant personnel.

Following successful deployment, approximately 2,000 safety devices are now installed across the facility, creating a reference implementation for similar large-scale food and beverage applications in the region.

The solution deployed at the Beypiliç facility is based on Rockwell Automation’s industrial safety portfolio. The implementation includes Allen-Bradley 440N Ferrogard® GD2 non-contact interlock switches, which feature an IP68-rated, stainless steel design well suited for wet and hygiene-critical environments. The safety devices were selected to perform reliably in poultry and food processing operations, helping protect against water ingress and corrosion and supporting consistent performance during frequent cleaning and sanitation cycles.
