Rotork Valvekits to stock Soldo hazardous area switchboxes

Rotork Valvekits, the Rotork actuator manufacturing and flow control group's specialist valve mounting kit company, is now the UK stockist for Soldo switchboxes. Soldo is a highly regarded manufacturer of compact switchboxes featuring a range of switch options with local visual position indication for rotary quarter-turn pneumatic actuators.Rotork Valvekits will predominantly stock Soldo switchboxes for hazardous area applications, encompassing the SK and SQ explosionproof ranges and intrinsically safe models from the SP range. SK and SQ switchboxes are internationally certified for installation in EExd Zone 1 and 2 hazardous areas by ATEX, IECEx, GOST (Russia) and CCOE (India).
Available with painted aluminium or polished 316L stainless steel enclosures, these switchboxes can be supplied with electromechanical switches, magnetic switches, proximity sensors or inductive sensors to suit user requirements. A pre-wired terminal strip incorporates two extra terminals for solenoid valve connections. Integral adjustable Namur standard mounting legs enable swift attachment to any actuator with VDI/VDE3845 dimensions.
Environmentally sealed to IP66/67 as standard or IP67/68 as an option, the switchbox enclosure is fitted with two cable entries and a 3D visual position indicator for maximum visibility from the top and side. The standard ambient operating temperature range is -20ºC to +80ºC, with optional low and high temperature versions available for -55ºC and +105ºC respectively. Simplified mounting and commissioning is facilitated by tool-free adjustment of high resolution, vibration resistant splined switch operating cams and an internal twin shaft design that maintains the match between the actuator shaft and position indicator.
Soldo SP switchboxes incorporate the same features as the SK/SQ ranges within an IP65 weatherproof reinforced polymer enclosure designed for non-hazardous or intrinsically safe applications. Intrinsically safe versions incorporating micro-switches or proximity sensors are being stocked by Rotork Valvekits.
The Soldo agreement is Rotork Valvekits' third stockist/distributor agreement to have been announced in recent months. In May the company announced its appointment as the UK distributor for the well established Centork range of pneumatic valve positioners and an exclusive stockist and distributor appointment for the industry-leading Pneumatrol Namur range of solenoid valves.
