RS Components appoints Cameron Ward as Senior Vice President of Innovation

Cameron to further the application of technology across the business

RS Components (RS), the trading brand of Electrocomponents plc, the global distributor for engineers, has appointed Cameron Ward as Senior Vice President of Innovation. He joins the company immediately and will be responsible for extending the application of innovation and technology across the business to improve the customer and supplier experience. This includes leading the DesignSpark initiative, which offers key design information, resources and a suite of free-for-download tools to its community of over 500,000 members.

Cameron (pictured) has over 20 years' experience in the electronics industry, working in locations across North America and Asia Pacific. His previous role was Vice President of Global Procurement and Supply Chain at Flex, where he managed the global procurement, supply chain and supplier management of Flex Ciii, a software-infrastructure and cloud storage business. Prior to this, he worked in various executive roles in product, supplier management, procurement and business development at Premier Farnell, Arrow Electronics, Future Electronics, and e2open.
