RS Components wins at both the Masters of Marketing Awards and the B2B Awards

RS Components (RS), the trading brand of Electrocomponents plc (LSE:ECM), the global distributor for engineers, has been recognised for its continued innovation in digital with two wins in prestigious industry awards. The company won the 'User experience and design' category at the Masters of Marketing Awards for its work to improve the online experience for its customers, driving website conversion to a five-year high. RS also won the 'Best use of social media' category at the B2B Awards for its 'Portrait of an Inventor' series of short videos.The Masters of Marketing award was presented for the way RS responded to its customers' online feedback, taking a user-centred design approach to make customers' lives easier when searching and purchasing on the RS website. The online improvements, which include enhanced search relevancy and filtering, page design and technical content, were made following thousands of hours of customer research. The company won the award over a shortlisted group that included LV=, Vauxhall Motors and Fuller, Smith & Turner.
The B2B award was won by RS for its series of short social media videos that show how entrepreneurs, including Eben Upton, co-founder of Raspberry Pi, and Jordan Daykin, co-inventor of the GripIt Fixing, are working with RS to reach new engineering communities and further their innovation. The shortlist for this award included IBM, Microsoft and O2.
