RS wins prestigious GEO award for its employee share plan

RS Group plc, a global omni-channel provider of product and service solutions, today announced it has been presented with a ‘Best Plan Communication’ award at the recent Global Equity Organisation (GEO) Awards, placing RS amongst a number of prestigious global brands and well-known multinational corporations.For more than 20 years, the GEO Awards have honoured companies from around the globe that have demonstrated leadership and dedication to employee ownership. The winning companies are recognized for excellence in designing, communicating or offering programmes that allow employees worldwide to participate in their company's share plan.According to the GEO award judges commenting upon RS’ employee share plan: “We were impressed by the programme's inclusivity, simplicity, and impact, as well as the vibrancy of the materials and the alignment with the company's culture. The programme carried very simple messaging, making it accessible to all employees. Overall, the RS Group communications programme stands out as a comprehensive and innovative approach to creating a global all-employee share ownership plan and is a deserving winner of its first award.”In addition, the GEO judges commented on the diversity of the RS programme: “The programme was designed to resonate with employees across the globe, who come from diverse cultures, ethnicities, genders, ages and backgrounds. The key objective was to create a simple, impactful, and inclusive plan that would be accessible to everyone, regardless of their location or role within the company.”More than 7750 of RS’ people across 32 countries and markets are part of the company’s ‘RS YAY! Employee Share Plan’ with employees receiving a performance share award of more than 100 shares with an approximate value of up to £1,000 – at the time of granting in 2022.“This was a fantastic achievement and global industry recognition for a truly collaborative team who worked on the RS YAY!
