SIMON HART ELECTED AS ORDINARY TRUSTEE AT THE INSTITUTION OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY

Dr. Simon Hart, Principle Development Engineer at Control Techniques in Newtown, Powys has recently been elected as an Ordinary Trustee at the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET).Having joined the IET 19 years ago, Simon has been a member ever since he studied Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Surrey, and has been an active volunteer for the last seven years. He has previously held a number of significant posts at the IET, including Chair of the Shropshire Local Network and Chair of the IET Council.
Simon currently works at Control Techniques' multi-million pound UK Engineering and Design Centre, The Gro, at Newtown, Powys, Mid Wales.
Simon says: "I am really proud to have been elected as an Ordinary Trustee at the IET. My role begins on the 1st of October and lasts for three years and I look forward to contributing to the continued success of the organisation."
