Process standards and systems are as important to SIPOS Aktorik as meeting product and performance legislation for the company's electric actuation technology. As part of its welfare policy, SIPOS achieved the SCC standard, a safety checklist for contractors. A recent additional achievement has been BS OHSAS 18001 Certification for Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems.Both the SCC and BS certifications have assessed SIPOS' management systems in terms of safety, health and 'green' issues. As a result of the accreditations, the company has introduced enhanced processes and procedures which benefit staff, business partners and the environment.
SIPOS reports that BS OHSAS 18001 employs a framework which structures a thorough assessment of risks to address the protection of both employees and the general public. The BS certification success for SIPOS demonstrates due diligence, good governance and a pro-active management committed to health and safety.
