SKF appoints Acorn Industrial Services as preferred partner for linear products

Long-term SKF Authorized Distributor, Acorn Industrial Services has become the first specialist SKF Linear Motion Distributor, and preferred linear motion technology partner.For more than ten years, Rotherham-based Acorn Industrial Services has worked closely with SKF as one of its SKF Authorized Distributors. Now, Acorn will act as SKF's preferred partner for linear and actuation technology, handling a broad portfolio of SKF products that includes linear guides and tables, ball and roller screws, and electric actuation systems.
Acorn has assembled a specialist linear motion team that will be dedicated to SKF's linear and actuation technology portfolio, maintaining a good working stock of linear and actuation products, and offering a cutting service that will deliver customer specified lengths of shafts, screws and precision rail guides. In turn, SKF will provide product support, product training, marketing support and referrals.
SKF's linear motion products benefit from the Company's broad knowledge of bearings, rotating machinery and mechatronic systems. The range includes linear drive systems, including both ground and precision rolled ball screws and roller screws; linear ball bearings, profile and precision rail guides and linear tables; and a range of electrically-driven linear actuators and telescopic pillars together with their associated control units.
