SPDEI award Omron as best emech supplier in 2010

Hoofddorp, Netherlands, 10 January 2011 - Omron has received an award as the best electro-mechanical supplier 2010 from the French association of electronic component distributors, SPDEI (Syndicat Professionel de la distribution en Electronique Industrielle).The SPDEI, which represents 31 official French distributors annually, rewards electronic component suppliers across the industry for their involvement in distribution and the quality of support and service provided.
Commenting Alex Grout, European Distribution Manager at Omron said, "This is the first time that Omron France has been presented with the best electro-mechanical supplier award from the SPDEI. It is recognition for our total support and commitment to our distributors in France. We are very proud to receive this award during what has been a challenging market in 2010."
The 15th SPDEI annual award ceremony took place on the Place de la Concorde, Paris and was attended by more than 150 industry professionals from component suppliers, distributors and customers. 24 nominations were made for the eight SPDEI awards which cover the following categories optoelectronic, semiconductor, analogue, high end digital, passive, connector, electromechanical and energy.
