The latest generation of serial interfaces such as USB 3.0, PCI Express 3.0, SATA, Fibre Channel, Thunderbolt, HDMI, DisplayPort and others implement much higher multi-Gb/s transmission rates. High speed Bit Error Rate (BER) testing is essential to ensure that products designed to these new standards meet their rigorous specifications and perform to expectations. The BSA260CPG incorporates clock recovery circuitry that allows pattern generation and error analysis up to its full specification of 26Gb/s. With an integrated stress generator the BERTScope provides full stressed receiver sensitivity testing with integrated signal integrity debugging tools such as pattern error location analysis and jitter mapping. The instrument incorporates a graphical user interface to simplify testing - eye analysis can take place instantly during BER testing.
