Thumbs up for Hinkley C nuclear power

As the UK's first nuclear power plant in a generation nears completion at Hinkley C in Somerset, power specialist, Powertecnique is praising the UK government for its decision to become more self-sufficient with energy.The deal with France's EDF Energy is a positive step towards a ‘green' solution; it is a key transition to shift the UK away from fossil fuels and towards low-carbon power.
Darren Pearce, Managing Director at Powertecnique comments: "We're pleased that this deal has gone ahead as it should mean a more stable grid and is still the closest solution we have to a green solution today. Nuclear power is one of the most reliant and viable solutions for the UK and a great way to cut carbon emissions.
"This is a great step forward, yet there still aren't enough nuclear reactors to meet with demand and the amount of energy we are currently using, so the potential energy gap means that we won't have sufficient energy to service everyone in the UK and there is still a significant risk of power cuts.â€
