Top Motor Manufacturer Leads the Way in Staff Training

One of the UK's leading suppliers of electric motors has demonstrated its ongoing commitment to its staff by hosting a number of dedicated training programmes, despite the current economic climate.

Northamptonshire-based Regal, which brings together the Marathon Electric, Leeson, and Rotor brands, has recently seen two members of its senior management team travel to the USA to undergo intensive training in a bid to enhance their knowledge, develop their skills, and encourage and promote individual career development.

Jerry Hodek, Technical and Operations Director at Regal, recently completed the Executive Leadership Program (ELP), hosted by the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, USA in partnership with Regal. A rigorous three-week course, the programme included the latest theories, practices and thinking in today's global business environment, providing participants with unique opportunities to learn from some of the world's most successful business men and women.

In addition, Lucie Hodkova, National Sales Manager at Regal, recently celebrated her success in completing the New & Emerging Leadership Program held at Regal HQ in the USA, a course designed to prepare a new generation of leaders by equipping them with all the skills required to develop their roles and climb the corporate ladder.

Commenting on the recent programmes, Lucie said: "The training course I've just completed was fantastic and one which I found hugely rewarding. While many companies across the UK, and indeed globally, are cutting back on marketing and training, Regal remains as committed to investment in its staff as ever before, and really is leading the way.

"Investing in staff, particularly in times of financial uncertainty, really is an essential part of any successful business as it not only helps to boost staff morale, but also arms them with the best possible tools and the most up-to- date information, helping to prepare both the individual and the company as a whole for a successful and prosperous future."

Based in Wellingborough, Regal brings together the Marathon Electric, Leeson, and Rotor brands, providing a range of single phase and three-phase motors including motors for unconventional or challenging environments such as ATEX explosion-proof motors, marine motors, and vibrator motors. The company also provides coolant pumps for machine tools, frequency inverters and worm gearboxes, as well as motor accessories, brakes, force ventilation units, encoders, and slide rails.
