Universal remote access to SCADA now possible from iPhones and iPads

Movicon™ 11 is the first and the only SCADA/HMI platform completely based on XML and Web Services technologies, from Windows Vista™ to Windows CE™ and Windows 7. The supreme openness and flexibility of the Movicon™ architecture makes it the perfect SCADA/HMI supervision solution, applicable to any sector in the world of automation especially where mobile devices are involved.
Movicon™ is a low cost SCADA/HMI supervision solution which integrates all the features - and more - of far more expensive packages. The package has many inbuilt tools, and includes a Comms Drivers and a data historian, which is usually a bolt-on item, at no extra cost. Unlike other graphical-based systems, Movicon™ opens things up: it exposes objects that can be manipulated enabling complicated tasks to be achieved without having to write complex pieces of proprietary software, which is obviously a very useful time and cost saving facility for developers and integrators alike.
With the Movicon™ and Movicon™ Web Client technologies , users can visualize and control any Movicon™ HMI or SCADA supervision station using either a simple browser or the new App, saving them major costs in management, maintenance and licensing, while increasing their company productivity at the same time.
The graphical screen representations are shown in their 'true colors' and graphics are automatically adapted to the client's graphic resolutions or to the size of the browser window. Interaction can be performed from the Client side to activate commands and manage events of VBA code inserted in symbols. All information can be obtained from Historical Logs and Trends and displayed in data tables using sort by filters. The Scheduler and IP Camera viewer objects are also supported along with their interfaces.
The Movicon™ Web Client features are very powerful, extremely simple and very secure, making the automation-over-the web concept a reality. Movicon™ Web Client the company claims is the only SCADA/HMI in the world that allows Web Clients to log on with mobile phone devices. This has all been made possible with the Web client App which consents access to the supervisor using normal mobile phones with Java J2ME or using a Smartphone or tablet with iOS, or Android OS.
Users that receive event notifications by phone can connect immediately to their plant system using their mobile phone to get information on tags, alarms, historical data and even display and interact with screens from wherever they happen to be. The supervisory system is accessible with any browser connecting remotely via the internet or intranet. Web Client users, assigned with authorised access passwords, can view any information they require in real-time, or the results of statistical analysis, by accessing from any point with a normal browser or mobile device. This has now been made easier with the addition of the new App.
