A complete database of products from world leading pipe joining systems manufacturer, Victaulic, is now available for use with MagiCAD.A popular choice for building services design on AutoCAD and Revit, MagiCAD is widely used to improve accuracy, quality and productivity. Availability of the Victaulic product database now makes it easier for designers, engineers, contractors and clients to reap the many benefits of grooved pipe joining technology.
The database contains correct dimensions and technical data for each Victaulic product. It means that design calculations, such as pressure drops and flow measurements, made while designing with MagiCAD, are accurate, and installation problems can be eliminated at the design stage. Designers can use the software to quickly and efficiently integrate Victaulic products into the design of heating, cooling, utility and sprinkler systems, delivering advantages for project partners. Contractors will have confidence that they can implement designs as planned, saving time and improving quality on installation. Specifying Victaulic products for HVAC and fire protection systems enables project teams to address engineering challenges at the design stage. It allows design engineers to bring in effective solutions to accommodate system expansion and contraction, reduce noise and vibration without the need for rubber bellows, and create curvature, for example.
Key Victaulic products available for use with MagiCAD include the Style 731-D suction diffuser, Installation-ready couplings, the Advanced Groove System (AGS), the FireLock NXT® alarm valve range, a complete line of valves and stainless steel products. The Victaulic Style 731-D Suction Diffuser enables pipework to be connected closer to the pump at a 90-degree angle. By eliminating long pipe runs, elbows and reducers, it makes for a smaller mechanical room footprint and optimum pump performance.
Victaulic installation-ready couplings are characterized by a single unit coupling design and allow pipe joining by simply inserting the coupling onto the grooved end of a pipe, fitting, valve or accessory and then tightening the nuts. Standard grooved couplings are installed up to five times faster than welded joints and up to three times faster than flanged. Now, Victaulic installation-ready couplings can be installed in less than half the time of standard grooved couplings, compressing schedules even further. (Victaulic Style 107H QuickVic® Rigid Coupling is rated up to 51,70 bar - Style 177 QuickVic® Flexible Coupling is rated up to 69 bar)
Also available is the Victaulic patented AGS- the only two-piece coupling available for joining large diameter pipe sizes up to 60"/1525 mm. (Rated up to 24 bar depending on coupling size)
