Vision Seminars To Illuminate Photonex

Visitors to the Photonex Exhibition at The Ricoh Arena, Coventry, UK, 18 & 19 October, 2011, will find the series of seminars run by the UK Industrial Vision Association (UKIVA) Illuminating in every sense of the word! Entitled "Vision And Imaging Technology Demystifed", this interesting and informative series of seminars fits perfectly into the theme of Photonex by concentrating on the many of facets of lighting and their applications to industrial imaging and on 3D imaging.With many of the talks featuring live demonstrations, the seminars cover topics ranging from hyperspectral imaging to the use of structured light lasers for profile assessment. Other talks include a review of UV and IR imaging and their associated camera technologies, and an overview of the challenges faced in getting the optimum illumination conditions for a wide range of machine vision applications.
With 3D imaging becoming increasingly important in industrial vision, other talks will cover sheet of light illumination for 3D imaging together with some of the important 3D software tools, and some practical applications of stereo vision for robot vision.
The seminar programme will run on both days of the Photonex Show, with presenters from GIlden Photonics, Alrad Imaging, Stemmer Imaging, Leuze electronic, MultiPix Imaging and Scorpion Vision.
